For years, Buzzy has been protecting local citizens, and now Barb Smith thinks it's time we help him, she told the Community Advocate.
Smith owns Canine Pet Sitting and K9 Hydrotherapy in Northborough.
On Saturday, Dec. 8, Companion Pet Sitting hosts a "Pictures With Santa" fundraising event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to raise money to buy Buzzy the K-9 from the Shrewsbury Police Department a bullet-proof vest.
Award-winning photographer Jeffery A. Baker, of Visions by Baker, Worcester, is also donating his services and will take photos of pets with Santa (who will be played by Shrewsbury Patrolman and Buzzy's handler Chad Chysna).
Sittings are by appointment only.
