Obits: D-Day Veteran, 48 year-old and Great-Great-Grandmother

Richard J. Stein, 82, of Northborough and Schenectady, NY, died unexpectedly on Sunday, November 11 in Schenectady.

During the Korean Conflict he served with the U.S. Army and worked as a polymer chemist before his retirement.

Chester Vilian, of Holden, died peacefully on Tuesday, November 13, at 87. He served his country during World War II in the United States Army in its 38th Infantry.

Vilian crossed the English Channel and landed on Omaha Beach near St. Laurent-Sur-Meron during the D-Day Plus One Invasion at Normandy. He was awarded the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart after being wounded in action.

Roger J. Moulin died Tuesday, November 13, at 48 years-old of after a valiant battle with cancer.

An avid and loyal New England Patriots fan, Roger will be remembered for manning the grill and for his annual Super Bowl parties.

Roger R. Richer, 83, of Auburn, was stricken ill and died on Tuesday, November 13 at Saint Vincent Hospital.

Richer worked as an accountant and had many hobbies. Above all, his greatest joy was being with his family and extended family, with his ever present smile and countless stories, celebrating life every single day.

Marjorie Helen (MacKay) Lovell, 92, formerly of Auburn died on November 12.

Lovell's greatest joy was her three daughters, seven grandchildren, six great -grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Philip Salah, 87, of Westborough, died on Tuesday, November 13. Phil was a musicians, musician who started teaching in 1947 and quickly acquired, by word of mouth, many young students.

Patricia A. Hurley, 76, of Worcester, formerly of Brookline, died peacefully on Tuesday, November 13, after a long illness.

Patricia was a history buff who enjoyed traveling with her many dear friends and her sister. After her retirement, she volunteered her time giving tours at the State House in Boston.
