Man Arraigned After Allegedly Trying to Rip Off Koopman's

Ned Altali, 29, of 89 Sayles St., Lowell, was summonsed to court on a complaint from Grafton police to face 11 counts of larceny by check under $250 and five counts of larceny by check over $250. Judge Vito Virzi released Altali on personal recognizance and scheduled a pretrial hearing for Jan. 16. According to police, Altali alleged passed 16 bad checks totaling $3,353.92, at the equipment rental counter at Koopman Lumber.  

Brendan J. Haynes, 27, of 63 Gage St., Apt. 1, Worcester, was summonsed to court on a complaint from Shrewsbury police to face a charge of leaving the scene of an accident involving property damage. Judge Vito Virzi continued the case without a finding for six months and ordered Haynes to enroll in the Brains at Risk program

George J. Loiseau, 56, of 178 Main St., N. Grafton, was arrested by Shrewsbury police and charged with violating an harassment prevention order. Judge Vito Virzi ordered Loiseau held on $250 cash or $2,500 surety and set a pretrial hearing for Dec. 13. According to a police report, Loiseau violated a keep-away order by sending several messages on Facebook. 

Judge Vito Virzi dismissed a charge of assault and battery against Timothy E. Sullivan, 51, of 200 Burncoat St., Worcester. Prosecutors said they were unable to locate the alleged victim in the case, which has originally been brought by Shrewsbury police. 

Wilbur D. Jennings, 45, of 1 Sturgis St., Apt. 2, Worcester, was arrested by Shrewsbury police and charged with shoplifting by asportation, possession of a class E substance, refusing to identify self and larceny over $250. Judge Vito Virzi found Jennings guilty on all counts. He was ordered to served 18 months supervised probation on the possession charge and for the larceny charge was sentenced to 90 days in the House of Corrections, with 12 days to serve and the balance suspended for one year. 

Jeffrey H. Senecal, 31, of 14 Canna Dr. Apt. C, Shrewsbury, was arrested by Shrewsbury police and charged with operating with a suspended license, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, a number plate violation, driving an uninsured motor vehicle and possession of a class E substance. Judge Vito Virzi found Senecal guilty or responsible on all counts, sentencing him to 60 days in the House of Corrections with 30 days to serve and the balance suspended for six months. He will also be subject to random drug screening during his probationary period. 

Matthew H. Finley, 24, of 1630 Worcester Rd., Apt. 302, Framingham, was arrested by Shrewsbury police and charged with operating under the influence. Judge Vito Virzi found Finley guilty and sentenced him to 1 year of supervised probation and a 60 day loss of license. 

Michael J. Graeber, 40, of 20 Breakneck Hill Rd., Hopkinton, was arrested by Southborough police and charged with operating under the influence and speeding. Judge Vito Virzi found Graeber guilty and sentenced him to 1 year of supervised probation and 45 days loss of license. 

Sarah L. Brandham, 27, of 196 Main St., Boylston, was summonsed to court on a complaint from Shrewsbury police on charges of leaving the scene of an accident with property damage and and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. Judge Vito Virzi released Brandham on personal recognizance and scheduled a pretrial hearing for Dec. 12. 

Kessa A. Bond, 25, of 67 Zottoli Rd., Holden, was summonsed to court on a complaint from Northborough police on charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and speeding in violation of a special regulation. Judge Vito Virzi found her not responsible on the speeding charge and dismissed the unlicensed operation charge upon payment of $100 in court costs.  

Phylicia Burgos, 27, of 7 Kensington Rd., Apt. 1, Worcester, was arrested by Northborough police on a charge of larceny over $250. Judge Vito Virzi released Burgos on personal recognizance and set a pretrial hearing for Dec. 12. According to police, Burgos was among a group of women who allegedly were captured on surveillance video taking $478 worth of merchandise from Kohl's without paying for it. 

Silvio R. Gomes, 35, of 249 Boston Post Rd., Marlborough, was arrested by Northborough police and charged with operating under the influence of alcohol (second offense), unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a marked lanes violation and failure to stop or yield. Judge Vito Virzi scheduled a formal arraignment for Nov. 21.
