Shrewsbury
2Ovens, Leary Foundation Support First Responders in Marathon
2Ovens took some time to give back to the community that has helped the new restaurant grow and develop.
The restaurant donated 15 percent of each meal to the Leary Firefighters Foundation to give to the first responders involved in the Boston Marathon bombing.
"The fires are at the center of our restaurant so when we were looking for a local foundation to work with the Leary Foundation made total sense," Stacey Furtado, assistant marketing manager for 2Ovens, said.
But the restaurant wants to give back to local diners and local breweries too.
When a person visits the restaurant they are invited to join the Share program, and so far more than 1,000 people have joined.
b.good Brings Local Ingredients
There are a lot of places to get a burger and fries in Shrewsbury, but b.good Shrewsbury owner John Freeley says there is something that sets the new fast food joint at White City Shopping Center apart.
"We use locally sourced ingredients in all of our food," Freeley said. "It's how we eat when we're not at work and now we can share that with the community here in Shrewsbury."
But that's not all, Freeley says because of the nearby Planet Fitness healthy eaters flock to the restaurant before and after their workouts.

It has been more than two months since Dean Park Pizza was closed for renovations, and according to the sign in the window it should have reopened shortly thereafter.

Sudbury
The owners of Bullfinch's Restaurant are breathing a sigh of relief after receiving just a warning from the Board of Selectmen regarding a liquor license violation on Feb. 21.
At the request of acting Police Chief Scott Nix, the Board agreed a suspension was not warranted after the restaurant's second failed compliance check in 15 years.
To help compete with other Sudbury restaurants, the owners of Lavender Asian Cuisine & Barsubmitted a plan to the Board of Selectmen to expand the business when GameStop vacates the lot later this year.
After a brief conversation during its May 21 meeting, the Board unanimously approved the expansion.
