PHOTO CONTEST: Mother's Day

My mother survived breast cancer last year following a mastectomy, and recently she celebrated my brother's wedding. She worked so hard to find a dress that was both elegant and covered her scars--doesn't she look beautiful (and so happy)!

With Mother's Day being Sunday, May 12, it's a good time to recognize mothers.

So, the topic of our photo contest this week is, fittingly, Mother's Day.

We’ll take submissions until 5 p.m. May 13. The winner, chosen by Patch editors, will be announced on May 14. The prize? A $25 gift card.

We know it can be hard to choose just one, so you may enter as many photos as you'd like. If you like a particular photo, voice your support for it in the comments.

Eligibility is limited to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 and older.
