On Saturday, the Algonquin wrestling team competed in its first tournament of the season at KP Walpole Regional High School.
Algonquin placed sixth out of 11 teams in the tournament.
Several of the wrestlers placed in their individual weight classes: junior Alex Mazzola placed first at 170 lbs, junior Joe Cozzolino placed 2nd at 126 lbs, senior Christian Saccone placed second at 120 lbs, senior James Officer placed second at 285 lbs, and freshman Austin Roche placed fourth at 113lbs.
