Nicholas Ferrante, 27, of 23 Grace Ave., Shrewsbury, was summonsed to court on a complaint from Shrewsbury police to face charges of breaking and entering into a vehicle or boat in the nighttime for a felony and larceny under $250. Judge Vito Virzi ordered Ferrante held on $750 cash or $7,500 surety and scheduled a pretrial hearing for Dec. 28. According to police, a resident of S. Quinsuigamond Ave. called 911 around 9 p.m. on Nov. 20 to report a person rummaging inside of her vehicle. The witness gave police a description of a vehicle the suspect left in and later identified Ferrante in a photo array, according to court documents, which also state that less than $8 worth of loose change was taken from the vehicle.
John O. Wheldon, 43, of 1941 Grove St., Framingham, was summonsed to court on a complaint from Northborough police to face a charge of shoplifting of $100 or more. Judge Vito Virzi released Wheldon on personal recognizance and scheduled a pretrial hearing for Jan. 17. Police said employees at Wegman's spotted Wheldon leaving the store with three bags of lobsters that he did not pay for.
Justin Clement, 31, of 265 Westhill Rd., Marlborough, was summonsed to court on a complaint from Northborough police to face charges of negligent operation of a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of an accident and a marked lanes violation. Judge Vito Virzi released Clement on personal recognizance and scheduled a formal arraignment for Jan. 24.
Gregory Gunderson, 58, of 46 John St., Danielson, CT, was summonsed to court on a complaint from Shrewsbury police to face a charge of assault with a dangerous weapon (motor vehicle). Judge Vito Virzi found Gunderson guilty and ordered him to serve two years of supervised probation.
Judge Vito Virzi dismissed a charge of larceny over $250 brought by Grafton police against Maria L. Winsor, 31, of 123 Providence Rd., Grafton. The case was dismissed at the request of prosecutors.
Judge Vito Virzi dismissed a charge of assault and battery brought by Northborough police against Dennis Gagne, 57, of 33 Sunset Dr., Northborough. Prosecutors said the alleged victim in the case no longer wished to pursue the charges.
