Irving J. Espinosarodrigue, 26, of 42 Washington St., Clinton, was summonsed to court on a complaint from Shrewsbury police to face a charge of unlawful wiretapping. According to police, Espinosarodrigue videotaped an officer during a traffic stop on July 1, 2012 that resulted in a speeding citation being issued, and made the recording without the officer's knowledge or consent. A 90 second video of the stop was later posted on YouTube under the heading "Shrewsbury bad cops." It appears the video has since been taken down. Judge Vito Virzi set a pretrial hearing for Jan. 17.
Judge Vito Virzi found Kenneth Lane, 42, of Vineyard Haven, guilty of malicious destruction of a motor vehicle and making,selling or using a molotov cocktail and sentenced to 150 days in the House of Corrections, with credit for time served. The charges stem from a 2009 incident in which Lane was arrested by Grafton police. He was also found guilty of threatening to commit a crime, while charges of assault with a dangerous weapon and malicious explosion were dismissed. Lane was also sentenced to another 30 days in the House of Corrections in connection with a failure to appear charge.
Chad F. Morse, 32, 51 Flat Rock Rd., Petersham, was summonsed to court on a complaint from Shrewsbury police on chargers of disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace and resisting arrest. Judge Vito Virzi dismissed the first two charges while the resisting arrest charge was continued without a finding for six months. Morse was ordered to pay $300 in court costs.
Lorelei J. King, 48, of 34 Main St., Apt. 2, Hopkinton, was summonsed to court on a complaint from Shrewsbury police to face charges of shoplifting by asportation, assault and battery, disorderly conduct and failure to stop for police. Judge Vito Virzi found King guilty on all three charges and sentenced her to 1 year of supervised probation, anger management counseling and 15 hours of community service. Police said King shoplifted items from Stop & Shop and then assaulted the store's loss prevention officer when confronted.
Donald J. Bell, 36, of 165 Turnpike Rd., Apt. 3, Westborough, was summonsed to court on a complaint from Westborough police on a charge of violation of an abuse prevention order. Judge Vito Virzi set a pretrial hearing for Jan. 7 and ordered Bell to stay away from the alleged victim.
Derrick Henry, 20, of 165 Turnpike Rd., Apt. 64, Westborough, was summonsed to court on a complaint from Westborough police on charges of assault and battery and defacing property. Judge Vito Virzi found Henry guilty on both charges, sentenced him to 18 months probation and ordered him to pay $536.85 in restitution. Police said Henry damaged his girlfriends car and attacked her during a dispute.
David M. Kaczynski, 40, of 5 Amherst St., N. Grafton, was summonsed to court on a complaint from Shrewsbury police to face charges of breaking and entering for a misdemeanor and malicious destruction of property. Judge Vito Virzi set a pretrial hearing for Jan. 7.
Judge Vito Virzi found Christopher J. Sebring, 30, of 34 Ancona St., Worcester, guilty of resisting arrest and ordered him to pay $300 in court costs. Virzi dismissed charges of possession of a class A substance and disorderly conduct. The charges were brought by Shrewsbury police.
Jeffrey A. Walsh, 26, of 36 Old Faith Rd., Shrewsbury, was summonsed to court on a complaint from Shrewsbury police to face charges of leaving the scene of an accident causing property damage and a marked lanes violation. Judge Vito Virzi set a pretrial hearing for Jan. 7. The charges stem from an accident on Route 20 in April.
Kerry Violetta, 33, of 13 Maiden Ln., Holland, was summonsed to court on a complaint from Westborough police to face a charge of violation of an abuse prevention order. Judge Vito Virzi set a pretrial hearing for Jan. 4 and ordered Violetta to stay away from the alleged victim in the case.
