Purse Robber Sentenced to Jail

Kevin Higgins, 38, of 16 Palmer Court, Clinton, was summonsed to court on a complaint from Westborough police on charges of larceny from a person, unarmed robbery and breaking and entering in the daytime for a felony. Police allege Higgins stole the purse of a worker in a Computer Drive office building in February and say a witness later identified Higgins in a State Police photo lineup. Judge Steven Thomas found Higgins guilty of larceny from a person and breaking and entering in the daytime and sentenced him to 187 days in the House of Corrections, with credit for time served. The unarmed robbery charge was dismissed.  

Jeffrey H. Senecal, 31, of 14 Canna Dr., Apt. C, Shrewsbury, was summonsed to court on a complaint from Shrewsbury police on charges of operating with a suspended license, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and possession of a class E substance. Judge Steven Thomas ordered Senecal held on $500 cash bail and sentenced a pretrial hearing for Nov. 19. 

Matthew B. Spitulnik, 27, of 355 Market St., Brighton, was summonsed to court on a complaint from Grafton police on a charge of operating with a suspended license. Judge Steven Thomas dismissed the charge upon payment of $200 in court costs.  

William C. Severino, 28, of 99 Riverside Ave., Ap. 507, Medford, was summonsed to court on a complaint from Northborough police on a charge of operating with a suspended license. Judge Steven Thomas dismissed the charge upon payment of $200 in court costs.
