A Northborough woman was arrested on Saturday for driving while on drugs and drinking after she almost struck a car and drove onto a lawn, according to police.
Delores Anne Carroll, 60, 200 Hudson St., Apt. 39, was arrested and charged with OUI (drugs and alcohol and a marked lanes violation.
On Saturday around 5:30 p.m., officers responded to a call of an erratic driver at the intersection of East Main and Bartlett streets. According to witnesses, an "incapacitated female was attempting to drive away in a white sedan."
According to witnesses, Carroll almost struck a car at the stop sign while trying to make a right turn from East Main Street to Bartlett Street. She then backed up, crossed the double yellow center line and almost drove onto a lawn across the street.
Carroll failed the field sobriety tests at the scene, and was arrested. During the booking, police also found drugs, after which she was sent to Marlborough Hospital for a blood analysis. She posted bail from the hospital.
