A Northborough man faces charges of domestic assault and posession of a class E substance after allegedly throwing a can at his girlfriend.
Jason A. Chaves, 39, 12 Rutland Rd., Northborough, has been charged with domestic A&B, assault with a dangerous weapon and possession of a Class E substance.
Northborough police responded to a home on Rutland Road early morning on Monday, Aug. 13, after getting a call of past domestic violence.
The victim said her boyfriend threw a can at her, striking her in the eye. According to the police report, her eye was swollen and bruised and there was liquid splattered on the wall behind where she was standing when hit by the can.
Chaves fled the scene before police arrived, and the State Police K-9 unit was called in, located Chaves hiding in the woods behind the residence, according to police.
He had several pill bottles belonging to him, and in one of those bottles there were several pills called Concerta, which didn't match the prescription.
