With its digital sign reading "Thank you, Northborough Fire Department," the Celtic was forced to close this week due to the damage.
Trucks from Service Master lined the parking lot the next day, and word is that the Celtic Tavern hopes to be open by mid next-week, according to senior bartender Heather Borge Leroux.
"We are still in the process of cleaning," she said. "Service Master has control of the whole building right now, cleaning every inch with a find tooth comb. Talk about a spring cleaning." Construction to rebuild the wall, celing and room that were damaged has started, too.

Per order of the Health Department, the Celtic Tavern had to toss all the food and alcohol that was on the premises during the fire. Leroux said the Celtic will probably not be serving food right away when it reopens.
"We are waiting for the building to get turned back over to us so we can start to put everything back together and start receiving inventory," said Leroux. "We hope we will have the building back by Saturday or Sunday, and then we have to get our product in and stocked and set up. We are very anxious to reopen. Thanks for everyone's patience, and we have had so many offer to help. The Celtic Tavern family goes beyond staff, and it's at times like this when you see it most."
