Denyse Turpin, a Northborough resident and nurse at Boston Medical Center, is participating in the 27th Annual Massachusetts Chapter Parkinson’s Walkathon Sunday, June 9, held at the Reebok International Headquarters’ track in Canton.
According to the Community Advocate, Turpin started as a staff nurse at the inpatient Parkinson's unit at University Hospital, which later became Boston Medical Center. She joined the American Parkinson's Disease Assocation Board in 2002, and also started to attend fairs to provide more information about the disease.
She'll be joining many in the walk on June 9, including Southborough resident Kris Stapleton, who struggled with watching her parent suffer with the disease. Read the full story in the Community Advocate.
