Obits: Candy Maker, Combat Veteran and Cafeteria Worker

NorthboroughAudrey M. (Blakeley) Brooks, 79, died peacefully on May 4, 2013 in Coleman House of Northborough after a prolonged illness.

Brooks graduated from Northborough High School in 1951. She was a former member of the Northborough Woman's Club. She enjoyed gardening, traveling and crafts.

ShrewsburyLucille (Aliberti) Kvaracein, 93, of Shrewsbury, died Friday, May 3, 2013 in Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center of Worcester after a period of declining health.

She had worked as a candy maker for The Hebert Candy Mansion, a job that she loved for 35 years, before retiring.

WestboroughFrank R. Sanning, 87, of Westborough, died peacefully on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at the UMass Memorial Healthcare- University Campus in Worcester.

Sanning was a sales representative and a sales manager for Union-Butterfield in Athol for many years prior to his retirement.

NorthboroughBrenda Y. (Richell) Aubin, 56, died peacefully at home after a long illness on May 2, 2013.

She graduated from Burlington High School in 1975 and from the University of Vermont with a B.S. degree in Psychology. Aubin later went on to earn her Master’s in Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University in NJ.

ShrewsburyRoland Gaumond, 86, of Shrewsbury, died peacefully following a long dementia-related decline on May 3rd, 2013 with his family by his side.

He proudly served his country in WW II where he saw combat in Germany. He was also a part of the Occupation Forces and was a radio operator.

WestboroughDorothy F. “Dot” Stec, 82, of Westborough, died on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 surrounded by her loving family at the UMass Memorial Healthcare- University Campus.

She was an active communicant of St. Luke the Evangelist Church where she served the Prayer Shawl Ministry, the Dismas House Ministry and volunteered for the Martha’s and Mary’s. She was also an active volunteer at the Westborough Senior Center.

ShrewsburyBillie Jean (Gunter) Belanger, 86, of Shrewsbury formerly of Marianna, FL, died peacefully on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester.

Belanger had worked many years as a Cafeteria employee in the Shrewsbury School System. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and always looked forward to spending time with her grandchildren.

MarlboroughRosalie A. (Butler) Collins, 74, died Friday evening after a long period of failing health.

While in Marlborough, Collins spent many years working in the office of Dr. Arnold Hill and, after moving, went to work in the medical records department of Houlton Regional Hospital.  She was a member of the former  St. Ann's Church in Marlborough.

ShrewsburyKathryn "June" (Hamilton) Branagan, 79, of Shrewsbury, died Wednesday, May 1, 2013 in Saint Vincent Hospital, Worcester.

Branagan was a registered nurse for Worcester area nursing homes.
She graduated from Massachusetts General Hospital School of Nursing. She was very involved with her family and a very doting mother.
