Marlborough— Richard W. "Dick" Mutti, 82, of Hudson formerly of Marlborough died Saturday, April 27, 2013 surrounded by his loving family.
Later he went to work for the Commonwealth of Mass. in the Dept. of Environmental Management. In that capacity, Mutti was in charge of all of the skating rinks and public pools in the state, including Navin Rink in Marlborough.
Peter was a navy veteran of the Korean War. He worked as a news distributor for the Telegram and Gazette for 35 years, retiring in 1997.
Marlborough— Robert W. O’Connor Jr., 79, died Saturday, April 27, 2013 after a long period of failing health.
O’Connor worked as a salesman for many years. He worked for many companies in this area including Commonwealth Builders, Better Electric and Percy’s whom he worked for the longest.
She was a graduate of Grafton High School. Mrs. Boutiette worked as a secretary at Marigold's Knitting Co., in the Wilkinsonville section of Sutton, then at the Gaudette Insurance Co., in Grafton, and then at Sawyer Lumber Co., in Worcester. She retired in 1977. She was a member of St. James Catholic Parish, South Grafton, and she enjoyed bowling, oil painting and travel.
Shrewsbury— Hazel R. O'Brien, in her 100th year, passed away peacefully Monday, April 29, 2013 at home.
Her family moved to Shrewsbury in 1921 where her parents had purchased a small dairy farm. She was raised in Shrewsbury and graduated from the Major Howard Beal High School in 1933 and has been a proud Shrewsbury resident since.
She was always involved in the community through organizations such as the First Baptist Church in Meriden, the Lady Islanders in Myrtle Beach, and Meals on Wheels.
Marlborough— Margaret A. 'Peg' (McKenna) Coen, of Marlborough, died Sunday, April 28, 2013 in her home.
She graduated from the nurse's aide training program at Waltham Hospital where she worked for a time before going to work at Marlborough Hospital. She will best be remembered as a woman who loved her family and devoted her life to raising them.
He attended Grafton High School before enlisting in the U.S. Navy where he proudly served his country during World War II and the Korean Conflict.
Jane graduated from Northborough High School as Salutatorian of her class before embarking on a career as a case worker for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Welfare. She pursued her work for over forty years with passion and dedication.
Rose was a member of St. Mary's Church, Grafton. Rose's name symbolizes "Beauty', and she exuded that beauty. She was a quiet, giving, loving, strong Italian woman who cherished her family and loved everyone.
