Obits: Female WWII Vet, Talent Agent and Paratrooper

GraftonHelen M. Matuzek, 95, died peacefully April 21, 2013 at Pleasant Bay Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Brewster on Cape Cod after a lengthy battle with Parkinson's Disease.

Helen then served in the US Navy as a Petty Officer during World War II. Following her military service she held a variety of secretarial and secretary supervisor positions.

NorthboroughFred G. Knight, 82, of Northborough, died on April 22, 2013 in Westborough after an illness.

During the 1950’s, he owned and operated Fred Knight Productions, a complete entertainment and talent agency. His 36-year working career at the former New England Frozen Foods in Southborough ended in 1993 upon retirement.

ShrewsburyClayton H. Webber, of Worcester, died Saturday April 20, 2013 at UMASS Medical Center in Worcester after a brief illness.

Raised and educated in Shrewsbury he attended Shrewsbury High School before enlisting in the U.S. Army in 1957 where he proudly served his country as a Paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Division based out of Forth Campbell, KY.

GraftonRita G. (Amyot) LaCroix, 88, died April 23, 2013 following an illness.

Rita worked as a nurse at Worcester State Hospital, St. Vincent Hospital for several years and also at Keith Hill Nursing Home.
