Marlborough— Edward S. Radivonyk, Sr. 79, died Monday afternoon on March, 11 after a short period of failing health.
He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps serving in Japan during the Korean War. Radivonyk was employed as a machinist for the Lapointe machine shop for over 20 years and also worked in the same capacity for the Quincy Naval shipyard and the former American Optical.
She was born in Shrewsbury, daughter of the late Henry and Katherine (Leporte) Toombs. Helen graduated from Shrewsbury High School in 1936 and lived most of her life in Shrewsbury.
Phillips enlisted in the US Army to serve his country during World War II. He became a Corporal and Medical Corpsman serving in The European African Middle Eastern Theater with the Army Air Force at the battles of Ardennes, The Rhineland and Normandy and was awarded 6 Battle Stars.
Northborough— Doris M. (Smith) Aspinwall, 92, died peacefully on March 11, 2013 at Beaumont of Westborough, with her daughter at her bedside.
Years ago, she volunteered at town meetings and polling for precinct #1. Doris was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution and a longtime member of Trinity Church.
