Now after more than 30,000 views, the Algonquin lip dub video that three students made for a marketing project has been yanked from YouTube.

Giles Ober, who created the video with fellow seniors Nic Zanghi and Samuel Huddart, said it was pulled from the web after a copyright claim was issued by Universal Music Group.

"As of now, we're currently in the process of seeking legal council to further explore our options," said Ober in an email. "We truly apologize for the inconvenience. We will keep everyone up to date on our progress. Please visit our Facebook page for updates and our 'official statement' regarding this issue.  Don't worry, Algonquin Lip Dub will be back!"

The three students created the video on school spirit as part of a marketing project for class, and released it last week after it was showcased during a school program. Within 12 hours, it got 7,000 views, and didn't slow down. With 72 hours, it had more than 30,000 hits and was featured on NECN and Fox 25 news.
