Framingham

Framingham Family Opens Take-out Mexican Restaurant

Mexico City Taquería specializes in tacos, burritos, and other Mexican dishes. Readers are already raving about the burritos, tacos, and fresh salsa and chips.

You Need to Know About These Openings, Too

Outback Steakhouse opened in Framingham, in the location of the former Big Papi's location, the weekend of Jan. 26.  Framingham Frescafe, a new breakfast spot, also opened at 82 Concord St. And, finally, the new Chef Orient, owned by the same owner as Samba Steak & Sushi, opened in late January.

Route 9 Restaurant Closes Its Doors

Also this month, Top Shelf Restaurant became the first to close in town in 2013. The owners wrote on the restaurant's Facebook page that the closure was forced by town fees and regulations, combined with the economic times.

Grafton

Bushel 'N Peck Opens in Grafton

This sandwich shop and deli replaced the Branded Bear on Route 140 - just a quick ride up the street from the Mass Pike exit. One reader notes the fish and chips there are "better than any...in Grafton."
