The Friends of the Northborough Library have collected $107 so far in donations for the libraries damaged by the superstorm last October.
Although libraries are a small portion of any town’s budget and account for only a tiny fraction of the damage done by the storm, they are vital to the life of any community, especially a community under so much stress. Libraries provide information, access to computers, truly free wifi, a meeting spot, activities and entertainment for families, and education services for all.
The Friends will continue their collection for one more week, until Jan. 21.
Look for the collection boxes at the Reference Desk and in the Children’s Room.
