This week, Health Agent Jamie Terry issued this notice to the town:
The CDC (Centers for Disease Control) is stating that this could be the worst flu season in ten years. At this time the public is being guided to assure all family members receive the flu vaccine, encouraging hand washing and assuring that persons stay home when they are sick.
The Northborough Health Department has scheduled an additional flu clinic for Jan. 15 from 3-5 p.m. at the Northborough Town Hall located at 63 Main St.
The Health Deparment is not registering persons for the clinic; it will be on a first come first serve basis. However, it would be most helpful if persons who intend on coming please contact the Health Department so we can plan appropriately for the number of attendees. Reminder that insurance cards will be required. (Please note, persons with no access to insurance will be eligible to receive vaccine).
Persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
If you have questions please feel free to contact the Health Department office at 508-393-5009, 508-393-5008.
