Charles M. Leffler, 82, of 14 Fay Mountain Rd., Grafton, was arraigned in on four counts of statutory rape of a child. Judge Vito Virzi released Leffler on personal recognizance, ordering him to have no contact with anyone under 16 years of age.
According to court documents, the victim recently came forward to police and said she first met Leffler when she took riding lessons from him at a stable on Upton St. She later worked with Leffler both there and at a business that offered pony rides.
Leffler is due back in court on Feb. 13 for a pretrial hearing.
Anthony D. Masielo, 35, of 3 Leland Hill Rd., S. Grafton, was summonsed to court on a complaint from Grafton police to face a charge of disorderly conduct. Judge Vito Virzi released Masielo on personal recognizance and scheduled a pretrial hearing for March 4.
Lisa M. Ryan, 48, of 61 Central St., Apt. 2, Hudson, was arrested by Northborough police and charged with operating under the influence of alcohol, and a state highway traffic violation. Judge Vito Virzi continued the case without finding for one year, ordering Ryan to serve supervisory probation, to complete a 24D treatment program. Judge Virzi also ordered a 45 day loss of license and eight hours of month of community service, as well as $600 in court costs and fines.
Gabrielle M. Lash, 21, of 1173 Broadway, Hanover, was arrested by Westborough police and charged with operating under the influence of alcohol, and a marked lanes violation. Judge Vito Virzi continued the case without a finding for two years, ordering Lash to serve two years of supervisory probation, a 210 day loss of license and $600 in court costs and fines.
Roland Delage, 44, of 246 Vaugh Rd., Athol, was summonsed to court on a complaint from Northborough police to face a charge of violation of an abuse prevention order. Judge Vito Virzi released him on personal recognizance, ordered him to stay away from the alleged victim, and scheduled a pretrial hearing for March 1.
David P. Valenti, 35, of 153 W. Boylston St., W. Boylston, was summonsed to court on a complaint from Northborough police to face a charge of destruction of property over $250. Judge Vito Virzi released Valenti on personal recognizance and scheduled a formal arraignment for Feb. 20. According to a police report, the charge stems from an incident in October in which Valenti kicked another driver's vehicle following an incident of road rage on Route 20.
